Book your journey

The right hotel depends on why you are travelling. Before you book, think about how you will spend your days and compare hotels with that in mind.

• Location first. Staying close to the places you plan to visit saves time and transport costs. Check the distance to the city centre, the beach or your meeting venue.
• Room type and size. Make sure the room fits everyone in your group and has the bed setup you need.
• What the rate includes. Some rates include breakfast, others are room only. Compare the total price for your whole stay, not just the price per night.
• Facilities that matter to you. A pool, parking, a gym or family rooms can make a real difference, depending on your trip.

Read the hotel description and look through the photos carefully, then book the hotel that offers the best value for your stay.

A smooth hotel stay often comes down to the details you check before you book.

• Cancellation policy. Some rates can be cancelled free of charge until a set date, while non-refundable rates usually cost less but cannot be changed. Choose based on how certain your plans are.
• Check-in and check-out times. If you arrive early or leave late, ask the hotel whether early check-in or late check-out is possible.
• Guest names. Enter the lead guest's name exactly as it appears on their ID, as the hotel will ask for it at reception.
• Taxes and local fees. In some cities a tourist tax is paid directly at the hotel. Read your booking details so you know what to expect.
• Special requests. Requests such as a quiet room or a high floor depend on availability, so contact the hotel if something is essential.

Keep your hotel booking confirmation with you when you travel.
